Dry-cleaning Students Help With Annual Winter Coat Drive

More than 200 winter coats for the needy and homeless were prepared for
distribution by dry-cleaning students in the School of Career Development on the
East Brunswick, N.J., campus of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical
The annual Winter Coat Drive was sponsored by East Brunswick Township, the
East Brunswick Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services,
Integrated Medical Services, the Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple Youth Group and
the School of Career Development.
The coats were collected Dec. 29 to Jan. 5 in East Brunswick and New Brunswick,
and were then delivered to homeless men and women on the streets of New York
City, as well as to the needy in Middlesex County, N.J.
The dry-cleaning, supervised by teacher Thomas Grimaldi, was the subject of a
report on local-access cable television station EBTV.
