The Earth bag by Hamilton Perkins which is a travel bag, comes in two sizes, Light and Premium. They are created out of nothing but recycled plastic bottles, making it one of the best examples of recycled materials being used in the production of a consumer product. Plus, the bags are lined with vinyl from re-purposed billboards, making each bag different and unique.
Other than helping in the reduction of plastic waste, the brand claims that the bags also help cut carbon emissions and conserve water. So, in a way by simply buying one, you are doing your ‘bit’ towards saving the environment by promoting and accepting sustainable production practices.
Initially, the brand sold the first production batch to family and friends. They sold so quickly, they are now looking to bring it to the open market via a Kick-starter campaign, giving consumers the opportunity to invest at various levels, to take a stake in an ‘eco green’ future.
