The official visit by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (better known as William & Kate) to Canada, has not been without its headlines. From protests to pumps, it certainly has kept the world and its media talking.

The new dynamic of the ‘cute’ factor, bringing the Children along (the couple’s first official visit with both children) has been a big focus and certainly grabbed some initial headlines.

However, the lion’s share has been around the Duchess and her grand style, often opting for bold colours and sophisticated silhouettes.

Here are some of Kate’s most talked about looks:

  • The Sylvia Fletcher (Lock & Company) hat, embellished with Maple Leaves
  • A White and Red Broderie Anglaise dress by Sarah Burton (McQueen), which certainly was a hit all round, taking colour inspiration from the Canadian Flag
  • And finally, the much talked about Gianvito Rossi pumps – the Duchess is said to a big fan of these, having them in a couple of colours at least.

Whilst some of the outfits were bespoke and cost a reasonable amount, The Duchess of Cambridge isn’t afraid to mix styles and costs. Notable examples were the Zara jeans and the detachable pearl drop earrings from Heavenly Necklaces; both under $50.

U.K. affiliate Jeeves of Belgravia of GreenEarth Cleaning has the Royal Warrant for Dry Cleaning services to HRH the Prince of Wales and his family, so hopefully they will be cleaning these garments and making them look brand new, very soon!
