Fleming Island, FL Couple to Open Second Dry Cleaning Location »
OAKLEAF – A Fleming Island couple will open the second of its seven planned locations of a national dry cleaning company this weekend in the Oakleaf area.
Mike and Carla Lane will open their second location of Lapels Dry Cleaning, which bills itself as “an innovative, environmentally friendly dry cleaning company” on Sept. 20 at 1075 Oakleaf Plantation Parkway in Oakleaf. A grand opening is planned for Oct. 11.
Last March, the Lanes opened its first location at 2349 Village Square Parkway on Fleming Island.
“The initial response from customers at our first store, Lapels Dry Cleaning of Fleming Island, has been incredibly favorable and we anticipate a similar reaction from the people of Orange Park,” Mike Lane said.
Lapels Dry Cleaning uses GreenEarth Cleaning Solution to clean garments, the dry cleaning industry’s only non-toxic cleaning alternative. GreenEarth uses a process that enables it to penetrate fabrics and remove soils without chemically interfering with the textile fibers themselves, helping to maintain their “like-new” look and feel.
Lapels boasts that there are no hazardous wastes in their dry-cleaning process.
Beyond the environmentally friendly cleaning process is Lapels Dry Cleaning’s customer service. Lapels customers are greeted to a warm and inviting reception area, with friendly customer service representatives, and. Lapels also offers alteration services, a 24-hour drop off service and same day service is also available with pick-up after 5 pm.
“Beyond bringing an environmentally friendlier way to dry clean clothes to the area, the new Lapels Dry Cleaning stores are bringing jobs,” said Kevin Dubois, CEO of Lapels Dry Cleaning. “We expect to add a total of almost 50 jobs to the greater Jacksonville area once Mike and Carla open all seven locations.”
